A very warm welcome is extended to you and your child from Berrinba East State School and I look forward to a happy and effective association over the coming years.

Our school was established in 1977. During that time many students, parents and staff have enjoyed the advantages of a quality academic and co-curricula programme in a structured, safe, friendly, supportive and welcoming environment.

All students from Prep to Year 7 are involved in a wide range of learning activities including excursions, camps, sport, music and dance activities. There is a strong focus on the Performing and Visual Arts and Information Communication Technologies in the school. New interactive whiteboards in most classrooms engage our students in E-learning.

All Staff at Berrinba East are committed to supporting students in the pursuit of their personal goals. It is important to recognise that the school has high expectations of its students in terms of their punctuality, attendance, behaviour and learning. We take particular pride in striving to develop the potential of each individual through the You Can Do It program and the success keys of Confidence, Persistence, Organisation, Getting Along and Resilience.

Each student's progress is closely monitored. The Special Needs Team meets weekly to monitor student welfare needs and the learning support and extension needs of all students. Each child is valued as an individual and is encouraged to develop their self-esteem with an appreciation and understanding of the needs of others.

Consultation with the school community is an integral part of the formulation of new school policies. This close partnership with the community enhances the quality of the daily life of the school.

Parents/Carers you can be confident that through the spirit of cooperation our school is able to offer your child a rich and rewarding learning experience and a strong foundation for continued success at their chosen high school.

We operate an “open door policy” through which you are encouraged to use at any time. I am always willing to talk to parents at any mutually convenient time.

Our website’s aim is to provide up to date information about the school to all stakeholders and to celebrate the work our children and staff do in the school and the community.
